Assorted Paintings

 

Occasionally, I create one off paintings based on photographs or what I see in front of me, which serve as either experiments or standalone stories. Some are inspired by current events or my emotions at the time.

This self portrait was painted from a photograph using watercolor. This is a typical practice for me, sketching in the late summer sunshine in the back of my van.

This digitally crafted piece created in 2013, born from my inaugural iPad, encapsulates the societal shift ushered in by the advent of mobile technology.

This captivating still life, composed on May 21st, 2011, also marks one of my earliest iPad canvas. Notably, the life model portrayed in this piece was pregnant, adding a poignant dimension to the artwork.

This mixed media special piece features my daughter as the subject. Crafted with glass beads as the foundation, layers of acrylic paint and pens were meticulously added, interspersed with thin layers of resin to imbue the flowers with depth and vibrancy.

This captivating underwater mural was meticulously airbrushed nearly 30 years ago . The attention to detail even extended to painting the headboard to seamlessly continue the thematic immersion.

This lose still life was sketched in just 30 minutes, using ink pencils on watercolor paper as the medium.
